Building an Hauptwerk virtual pipe organ system can be a fun project, but it can also be frustrating at times. Finding "how to do something", looking for a driver or other utility can sometimes be hard to find. I invite all people to share their tips and tricks, links to the latest drivers and everything that can help someone get a system UP and RUNNING.

- How to make ambiance noises from sample sets sound more lifelike! Most sample sets include blower/engine noise, pedal, keyboards and stops noises, stop noises etc. The problem is the console- and other noises come from the same speakers as the pipes, making their presence sound unnatural. Here's a way to use two small speakers and the internal audio card (that most PC-type computers have and we never use with Hauptwerk).

- Configuration of Audio groups within Hauptwerk Hauptwerk use special algorithms to speak the sound (notes/ranks) across many speakers. This is a complex subject, and there is no real "best solution"; experimentation is an important part of finding the best setup for your venue. Leo Christopherson, member of the Hauptwerk forum, wrote about this subject and created nice spreadsheet to help better understand this subject.
