The INSP:IR Impulse Library (IIL) is a multi-positional reverb sample library. It is a massive collection of sampled reverberations measured at various real acoustical spaces.

The library contains Room Impulse Responses, or acoustical "photographs" of halls, some of them part of World Heritage, which allow you to place your sound recordings or virtual instruments inside the included spaces, as if you were playing or recording in these venues. The multiple measurement positions even offer you a choice of where to set your source and listener within a given room. Various surround setups and microphone placements are also featured.

UNESCO patronage

In 2007, the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO issued a patronizing statement for the INSP:IR Impulse Library project to maintain and extend its mission to preserver acoustic heritage of the world. Earlier in 2006, Inspired Acoustics was officially allowed to display and promote UNESCO World Heritage sites within IIL by the Secretariat of the Hungarian World Heritage Committee.

The INSP:IR Convolution Reverb

The INSP:IR Convolution Reverb engine (ICR) is a software that plays samples of IIL. It is an advanced reverberation plugin designed by acousticians with advanced reverberation control, efficiency and ease of use.

Developed under the patronage of many cathedrals, institutes, halls, companies and individuals, every purchase of IIL and ICR financially support preserving the World Heritage.
